This painting was born from a memorable evening hike along Big Bend's Chimneys Trail. After reaching the ancient petroglyphs, I watched the fading sunlight transform the Chihuahuan Desert into a tapestry of soft golds, violets, and blues. It was one of those rare moments that deserved to be preserved.
A breathtaking sunset over Big Bend from Vista Sotol, offering a panoramic view that stretches more than 50 miles. In the distance, the entrance to Santa Elena Canyon appears near the middle while the mountains surrounding Gosh Ranch and Terlingua rise to the right.
